AI-ready field reporting

Field data your AI can actually use.

Fieldbird turns daily field work into structured, audit-grade records the moment they’re captured. Built for biodiversity and nature-positive projects, where the evidence has to convince a verifier, not just look complete.

No credit card. From $79/company/month after trial. Cancel any time.

Why this matters

Scattered field data is invisible to AI, and unprovable to a verifier.

Most field teams hold their work scattered across phones, spreadsheets, Word docs and emailed notes. To a human reader that’s merely untidy. To AI it’s unusable, and to a credit verifier it’s indefensible. Fieldbird is the capture layer that fixes that at source: voice-first daily reports, structured the moment they’re recorded, signed, immutable, with photos and provenance attached. Same activity goes in. What comes out is an artefact your AI can read and your verifier will accept.

What you get

Three things. All core.

No add-ons, no upsell tiers. A complete, faithful record per day. The capture discipline that makes the record usable to AI and defensible to a verifier. Your data, yours to keep.

Capture

Voice-first, offline-first, on a phone.

Crews finish a daily report in a few minutes of natural speech. Photos with captions, signed on submit, locked once released. Works offline and syncs when you reconnect. Built to be used at the end of a long day in the field, not at a desk.

  • One Talk button, transcribed and structured against the day
  • Photo capture with vision-AI captioning
  • Durable offline drafts, photo blob queue
  • Signed reports with immutable revisions
Structured at source

The capture discipline that makes the record useful.

Every report is structured the moment it is captured, not retrofitted later: IDs resolved to real meaning, units explicit, transcripts cleaned, photos tied to the activity that produced them, consistent shape across every workspace. That makes the records useful to AI downstream, and defensible to a verifier.

  • Stable identifiers, real timestamps, real coordinates
  • Transcripts and captions first-class content
  • Provenance and revision history on every record
  • Same shape, every report, every workspace
Yours to keep

Your data, your tools, no lock-in.

Records live in your workspace and stay yours. Audit-grade PDFs on every report, accessible any time. When you leave, you take everything with you, no migration fee, no hostage situation. The platform is the capture layer, not a destination. What you do with the records downstream is up to you.

  • Audit-grade PDF on every report
  • Workspace branding baked into every PDF
  • Full revision history per release
  • AU / NZ / EU data residency options
Built for

Biodiversity and nature-positive projects.

Fieldbird is the capture layer underneath biodiversity-credit evidence: species observations, habitat surveys, transect data, restoration monitoring. The buyer is the project developer and the MRV value chain around them, the verifiers who sign off the evidence and the consultants who run the field programmes.

The evidence under a tradeable biodiversity credit has to convince a registry and a buyer it is real. A report that fails verifier scrutiny is worthless, or worse. Fieldbird’s heritage in mineral exploration, one of the most disclosure-stringent field environments there is, is direct evidence that the platform produces defensible records by design. Field MRV, built by people who know what verifiers and registries actually demand.

The first non-minerals activity module shipped this month: Species Observation. Observer-led capture (seen, heard, sign) with three identification paths (observer-known, AI-assisted, unresolved-higher-taxon) so the record never forces false precision. Habitat surveys, transect modules, and restoration monitoring are the active build.

How a day flows

From the field to an artefact that lasts.

One pipeline. The field team submits, the office team reviews, the record becomes the audit-grade artefact. Ready for the regulator, the verifier, the board, or your downstream AI.

1Capture on siteCrew fills the report on a phone before the toolbox is packed.
2Office reviewsAdmin checks safety and activities, then releases. PDF lands in the workspace.
3Record lastsSigned, immutable, structured underneath. Yours to keep, yours to feed any downstream tool.

FAQ

Common questions

What happens at the end of the trial?

Your company workspace stays exactly as you left it. We'll email you a heads-up before the trial ends. If you don't pick a tier, the workspace pauses (read-only) until you do. Nothing is deleted, and you can pick up at Solo, Team, or Business at any time.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Capture is offline-first. Reports save to the device while you're out of signal and sync transparently when you reconnect. Photos travel in the queue alongside the draft.

Who owns the data?

You do. Every report is downloadable as an audit-grade PDF at any time. Open structured export surfaces are the next core release. Either way, your data is yours: if you leave, you take everything with you. No migration fee, no proprietary file format that traps you.

What makes the records AI-ready?

Every report is structured the moment it's captured: stable identifiers, real timestamps, real coordinates, units explicit, transcripts cleaned, photos tied to the activity that produced them. That's the discipline AI needs: clean, self-describing records with consistent shape across a workspace. A dedicated export contract (per-report JSON and bulk surfaces dropped into a folder you already use) is the next core release; the capture discipline that makes it real ships today.

How do biodiversity verifiers actually use this?

The signed PDF carries the audit trail a verifier needs: who recorded what, when, with what evidence, and an immutable revision history. Underneath, the same content sits in a structured record so the project developer's downstream tools (and the verifier's spot-check workflows) can drill in without combing through PDFs. The platform was built in mineral exploration, where audit-grade and disclosure-stringent are non-negotiable. The same rigour carries directly to nature-markets MRV.

Can we run it on private cloud?

Enterprise plans support AU, NZ, and EU data residency. On-prem is not supported today; talk to us if it's a hard requirement.

Get the artefact, not just the report.

Your first workspace takes about ninety seconds to set up. Run a real day in the field, see the artefact at the end of it, and decide whether it changes how you work.
